THE FOURTH FILEY FOLK FESTIVAL
Fri 27 to Sun 29 July 2007
This is a free-entry three day festival, to celebrate and enjoy the rich variety of live music that falls under the name of "Folk Music". An opportunity to hear both traditional and contemporary music, sea shanties, stories, blues, hymns, and a lot more.
The venues are :-
The Station Hotel (known to locals as "Top House") and The Grapes Pub, both in the Queen Street area of Old Filey. Also The Belle Vue and Bonhommes, both in New Filey, near The Crescent
Usual start times for sessions are :-
2:00 , 2:45 , 3:30, 4:15 , for afternoons and 8:00 , 8:45 , 9:30 , 10:15 for evenings. Performers are not expected to do the whole 45 minutes and so there will be time at the end of most sessions for a break and for any floor singers or musicians who want to do a short set - see the compere / steward on duty. Names on the lists below with an asterisk * are comperes / stewards for the session - others will be identified and co-erced later.
All details are subject to amendment, even at the last minute
